Pioneer was the first UK PLS Champion and top PLS 1992 to 1997. He is still the only PLS to win a Working Group at Championship level. 1996 saw him awarded his Group win at The Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show and also Reserve Best in Show and Best Rare Breed in Show at National Working Breeds Ch. Show. During his time in the ring he received many awards including Best of Breed at Crufts Dog Show and Top overall Rare Breed. He has also been seen on British television.
