PLSC Companion Dog Show

The PLSC held a very successful Companion Show for all breeds at Hasland Village Hall, Derbyshire. We were lucky that the rain held off, and we had the use of the super bowling green at the back.

Running alongside the Companion Show was the opportunity to take the KC Bronze Good Citizen test. Examiner Sheila Kendrick along with her helper was doggedly determined to ensure that all those taking part (as well as Polish, these included a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Shetland Sheepdog, King Charles Cavalier, several Australian Cattle Dogs & various x-breeds), only two were deemed not quite ready yet to pass. Homemade food, along with hot & cold drinks were served with a smile throughout the day by Sally & Lynne who did a great job in busy circumstances.

The pedigree Classes were well supported by the local population, with many taking the opportunity to do a little training, not to mention socialising their puppies. The various novelty classes were popular too, with the children especially entering every class possible, there must have been some very tired dogs that night! Thanks must go to Judge Melanie Harris, she did a super job, was enthusiastic right the way through, and a great hit with the children.
