Silver Jubilee Celebrations 2010

The Silver Jubilee Open Show, held on Sunday 28th February, was very well attended by both exhibitors & visitors alike.

Judge Sandra Taylor chose Jane & Andrew Haresign's bitch Mybeards Diva at Caselbarn as Best In Show, with

Bernie & Ann Watson's Mybeards Thunder as Reserve Best In Show and Best Opposite Sex.

Best Puppy in Show was Philip & Grace Donnay's Dobrany Dorianblue Izastar,

with Tony & Joy Platt & Diane Mottram's Ch. Mybeards Fascination as Best Veteran In Show.

A full afternoon of activities followed, with Carolyn Menteith giving an introduction to Clicker training with youngster Billie. She then brought out her 11 year old Pon Digby, who stole the show with his many tricks. Lesley Naylor & friend Rachel then took to the floor with their Pons & Border Collie to do an Obedience demonstration, culminating in an Heelwork to Music routine. Lesley followed this up by giving a grooming demonstration. As if all this wasn't enough - Keith & Sue Brown had devised several games for the youngsters to participate in with their Pon's. These proved very popular amongst both children, Pons and onlookers alike - with a sausage eating game (the dogs not the children!!), potato & spoon race and several others.

Thank you to all those who attended, your favourable comments are appreciated and we're delighted everyone seemed to have an enjoyable day.
